The event was graced by members of the Baguio Tourism Council Board, deputy heads, and sub-sectoral representatives under the leadership of chairperson Gladys Vergara, local government officials, department heads, and staff led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong.
Also present were Department of Tourism–Cordillera Regional Director Jovita Ganongan, Baguio City Police Office chief Police Col. Ruel Tagel, Punong Barangay Zenaida Monteclaro, barangay officials, and stakeholders.
The initiative marks another milestone in the continuing efforts to enhance commuter comfort and develop more functional, accessible, and welcoming public spaces for residents and visitors of the Summer Capital.
A memorandum of agreement was signed and the ceremonial groundbreaking led by city officials and project partners was conducted.
The Baguio Tourism Council said they support initiatives that strengthen tourism infrastructure, enhance the experience of visitors, and contribute to a more organized, sustainable, and people-centered Baguio City.
“This project stands as a testament to what can be achieved through strong collaboration between the local government, private sector, and tourism stakeholders, working together in building a better Baguio,” the BTC said.
