The 21-year-old jumped five notches after an impressive semifinal run at the 2026 Berlin Open a few days ago, where she stunned veterans Donna Vekic, world No. 2 Elena Rybakina and world No. 8 Elina Svitolina before yielding to world No. 13 Linda Noskova.
Her latest ranking is just one rung below her career-best No. 29 attained just last March.
Eala has been making progress on the grass court, winning her second WTA singles title at the Birmingham Open -- a WTA125 event -- two weeks ago.
Fatigue caught up with her at the HSBC Championships after Birmingham, where she lost in the second round to good friend and now world No. 17 Iva Jovic.
She eventually recovered in Berlin.
Eala is currently competing in the Bad Homburg Open in Germany, where she is battling Belgian veteran Elise Mertens in the opening round at press time.
She is also scheduled to compete in the doubles in a highly-anticipated partnership with tennis icon Venus Williams.
