Veteran actor Christopher de Leon has been drawn into a growing family dispute involving his children with the late Superstar Nora Aunor, after he was mentioned in a social media post by his son, Ian de Leon, who alleged that his sister, Lotlot de Leon, had been providing misleading information regarding matters tied to their mother’s estate.
The tension among the siblings has been unfolding for some time across interviews, social media exchanges, and online commentary.
On one side are Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth de Leon. On the other is Ian, who has publicly described himself as the sole heir to their mother’s estate.
At the center of the dispute is a proposed foundation and related enterprise. Ian reportedly established a One Person Corporation intended to manage the Nora Aunor Foundation and associated projects, saying he acted in his capacity as heir while expressing intent to distribute benefits among his siblings.
The claim was rejected by his siblings, particularly Lotlot, who said she was neither consulted nor involved in the arrangement.
The disagreement has since escalated into a series of public exchanges marked by competing claims and accusations of dishonesty.
Although no formal legal action has been confirmed, the issue has drawn significant attention due to the family’s stature in Philippine entertainment.
As the dispute intensified, vlogger-lawyer Atty. Rene Buño suggested that Christopher de Leon step in to help mediate, citing his position as the family patriarch and his potential role in clarifying unresolved matters involving family relationships and estate-related questions.
Observers have likewise noted that he may be among the few individuals positioned to shed light on longstanding issues that have resurfaced amid the controversy, including questions surrounding adoption and family structure.
Despite this, he has not issued any public statement addressing the conflict or taking sides.
Some interpret his silence as an effort to avoid inflaming tensions, while others view it as a way of preserving family privacy as the matter unfolds in public view. For many observers, however, the absence of comment has only deepened uncertainty.
Whether he eventually breaks his silence or continues to stay out of the public discourse may shape how this chapter of the de Leon–Aunor family story is ultimately remembered.
