- Matet De Leon reacts as Ian and Lotlot de Leon's dispute over Nora Aunor's legacy intensifies, saying she is tired of the public noise surrounding their family issue.
Though she has repeatedly expressed frustration over the never-ending discussions surrounding her late mother Nora Aunor’s estate, Matet de Leon still found herself speaking up as the family controversy entered a new chapter, this time with her siblings Ian and Lotlot de Leon publicly clashing.
Matet has been among the most vocal members of the family since the issue first surfaced, openly sharing her thoughts about the misunderstandings involving their mother’s legacy. But as tensions between Ian and Lotlot escalated, the actress once again addressed the issue, admitting that she has grown tired of the noise surrounding it.
The latest exchange began after Ian and Lotlot released conflicting statements regarding matters connected to Nora Aunor’s name, including the handling of organizations and plans involving the late Superstar’s legacy.
Ian maintained that his siblings were aware of certain developments, while Lotlot pushed back, saying they were not properly informed and denying claims that they were after their mother’s estate.
As the two siblings traded statements, Matet reacted to comments online, expressing her frustration over how the family matter continued to be discussed publicly.
“Kami ba ang g*go? O ang mga tao?” Matet wrote, questioning those who weighed in despite not knowing the full details of the situation.
She also appeared exasperated over the repeated focus on inheritance, writing, “Mana ng mana. Nakaka-suka na.”
When a netizen suggested that the family should settle the matter privately, Matet responded that she was no longer interested in extending the issue.
“Wala kami ire-resolve. Ayoko mag-resolve,” she said.
The actress also directly addressed the growing tension involving Ian, writing: “Wala akong pakialam kay Ian.”
Despite the strong words, it is understood that Matet’s statements came from a place of frustration over how the issue has continued to unfold in public, rather than a simple dismissal of the family conflict.
The controversy intensified after Lotlot became emotional in a press conference while discussing Ian’s previous statements, insisting that she and their siblings were not demanding anything from Nora Aunor’s estate.
“Wala akong hinihingi. Wala kaming hinihingi. Wala akong inaagaw,” Lotlot said.
Ian later responded, defending his side and explaining that his actions were focused on protecting the family and ensuring that legal matters involving their mother’s legacy were properly handled.
He also maintained that he still considers Lotlot his sister despite their disagreement.
