Fans of Josh Ford can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the actor shared a positive update following his successful surgery.
The former “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 1.0” housemate is now back to work after undergoing a medical procedure to repair his perforated eardrum and address his sinus concerns.
In a recent interview, Josh revealed that he has already received clearance from his doctor to resume light activities. However, he said his full recovery will still take a few more months as his body continues to heal.
The actor underwent myringoplasty, a procedure performed to close a hole or tear in the eardrum.
“The doctor performed myringoplasty so I can finally swim or shower normally, and hopefully improve my hearing,” Josh shared.
He also underwent polyp removal related to his sinus condition.
Josh’s health journey has been closely followed by fans, especially after he revealed that he had been living with the ear injury caused by the tragic 2023 car accident that claimed the lives of fellow actor Andrei Sison and two others. Josh was the only survivor of the crash.
Before finally undergoing surgery, Josh opened up about his struggles in securing the procedure, sharing that he had been saving up for the operation due to the long recovery period involved.
The actor previously revealed that he had holes in his eardrum and was gradually experiencing hearing loss in his left ear. He also shared that doctors initially hoped the injury might heal naturally, but later determined that surgery would be necessary.
