Police arrested three suspected drug peddlers and seized more than P1 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Southern Police District (SPD) in Pasay City on Saturday night, June 20.
The suspects, identified only as Zenkie, 28; Alicia, 28; and Ryan, 41, were tagged as newly identified high-value individuals (HVIs) involved in the illegal drug trade.
They were arrested at around 7:00 p.m. in front of a hotel along Don Carlos Revilla Street in Barangay 148, Pasay City.
According to the SPD, operatives from the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), in coordination with the District Intelligence Division (DID) and the Pasay City Police, launched the operation after validating intelligence reports regarding the suspects' alleged involvement in bulk distribution of illegal drugs in the area.
During the operation, undercover officers successfully completed the pre-arranged drug transaction, leading to the arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of three large plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 50 grams each.
Authorities recovered a total of 150 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P1,020,000.
The suspects were taken to the SPD custodial facility for booking, documentation, and processing.
They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, including illegal sale and possession of dangerous drugs, as well as conspiracy to commit such offenses.
