Top 10 Manila SK officials cited for outstanding service
Ten outstanding youth leaders were recognized by the Manila local government for their exemplary service, leadership, and contributions to their communities, highlighting the vital role of young people in nation-building.
The recognition ceremony on Thursday, June 18, was led by Vice Mayor Angela Lei “Chi” Atienza, together with Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Manila President Juliana Ibay and Youth Development and Welfare Bureau Officer-in-Charge John Daniel Layno.
City officials said the awardees were selected for their dedication to public service, implementation of meaningful programs, and active involvement in initiatives that promote youth development and community progress.
The honorees were cited for serving as role models among their peers and for helping advance efforts toward a more progressive and inclusive Manila.
Recognized as the Top 10 Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan of Manila were Angelica Cular of Barangay 128, Zone 10; Julia Marie Javier of Barangay 121, Zone 9; Rovie Erjas of Barangay 14, Zone 2; Kelly Agamao of Barangay 628, Zone 63; Carl Danielle Labro of Barangay 381, Zone 38; Jezreel Lei Jerolin of Barangay 468, Zone 46; Stephanie Claire Capili of Barangay 84, Zone 7; Hannah Lyn Baure of Barangay 828, Zone 89; Josue Pio Flores of Barangay 181, Zone 16; and Sebastian Kyth Lopez of Barangay 684, Zone 74.
The city government underscored that empowering youth leaders remains a top priority, highlighting how their active involvement in governance and community programs helps build a stronger future for Manila.
Officials added that the recognition aims to inspire more young Manileños to take active roles in leadership and public service.
