Mayor Nancy Binay led the distribution of the vouchers to members of the KYTODA, SCTATODA, and ZAVTODA tricycle associations.
Councilors Arlene Ortega, Mayeth Casal-Uy, Dino Imperial, Ferdinand Eusebio, and Tristan Pangilinan also attended the distribution.
According to the city’s Public Information Office, each qualified tricycle driver will receive P1,000 worth of fuel subsidy vouchers as part of the local government’s initiative to help reduce the daily expenses of drivers.
The city government said the fuel subsidy vouchers are given to qualified beneficiaries identified and approved by the Makati City government.
It added that the vouchers must be used within their validity period, are non-transferable, and cannot be converted into cash or exchanged for other products or services.
Beneficiaries were also reminded to present the voucher and a valid government-issued ID when redeeming the fuel subsidy.
The city government said lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers will not be replaced.
It added that all beneficiaries and participating gasoline stations must follow the guidelines set by the Makati City government.
