GWM Philippines has officially launched the Haval H7, following its public preview at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show.
The local launch was held at Forresta Café in Villar City, Cavite, where GWM announced a three-variant range consisting of the Haval H7 HEV 2WD, PHEV 2WD, and Hi4 PHEV 4WD.
Regular pricing starts at ₱1,298,888 for the HEV 2WD. The PHEV 2WD costs ₱1,548,888, while the Hi4 PHEV 4WD is priced at ₱1,698,888.
GWM is offering lower introductory prices until June 30, 2026. During this period, the HEV 2WD costs ₱1,248,888, the PHEV 2WD is available for ₱1,498,888, and the Hi4 PHEV 4WD is priced at ₱1,648,888.
Three ways to go hybrid
All three versions of the Haval H7 use a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, but each takes a different approach to electrification.
The HEV 2WD is the simplest choice for buyers who want a hybrid without having to plug the vehicle into a charger. It uses a 1.53-kWh battery and a front electric motor, with the engine and motor producing a combined 247 PS and 540 Nm. Power goes to the front wheels through GWM’s DHT-1 hybrid transmission.
Moving up to the PHEV 2WD brings a much larger 19.09-kWh battery and the option to drive using electricity charged from an external source. Combined output also rises to 326 PS, while torque remains at 540 Nm, and GWM rates it for up to 105 km of electric driving under the NEDC test cycle.
The Hi4 PHEV 4WD uses electric motors at the front and rear, allowing the system to send power to all four wheels. Combined output increases to 364 PS and 760 Nm, making it the most powerful Haval H7 in the lineup.
It uses the same 19.09-kWh battery as the PHEV 2WD, but its additional rear motor and four-wheel-drive system drops its NEDC electric range to 91 km. The Hi4 model also uses a DHT-3 transmission and comes with seven drive modes covering Standard, Sport, Economy, Snow, Sand, Mud, and AWD.
The two plug-in hybrid versions use Type 2 and CCS2 charging ports, with support for DC fast charging. Both also have vehicle-to-load capability, allowing the battery to power appliances and other electrical equipment through a 220-volt outlet.
Size and suspension
The Haval H7 measures about 4.7 meters long, 1.9 meters wide, and 1.8 meters tall, giving it a substantial road presence in the midsize SUV segment. The HEV 2WD and PHEV 2WD ride on 18-inch wheels with 265/60 R18 tires, while the Hi4 PHEV 4WD receives 19-inch wheels with 255/60 R19 tires. A full-size spare tire is mounted on the rear door and is available across the range.
Ground clearance is rated at 200 mm for the two front-wheel-drive variants and 210 mm for the Hi4 model. All three use independent suspension, with MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear.
Available colors are Iceberg White, Midnight Black, and Stealth Gray.
Comfort and technology across the range
The cabin comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen running GWM’s Coffee OS 3.3 system, paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a 540-degree surround-view camera are also standard.
Other features fitted across the range include dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a 50-watt wireless charger, and USB-A and USB-C ports for both rows.
The two front-wheel-drive variants have an eight-speaker audio system. The Hi4 PHEV 4WD adds two more speakers and an eight-channel amplifier, along with a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, driver-seat memory, ambient lighting, and a 2,200-watt power outlet.
All variants come with six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, stability control, hill-descent control, hill-hold control, tire-pressure monitoring, cruise control, and driver-fatigue monitoring.
The Hi4 PHEV 4WD receives the most complete driver-assistance package. This adds adaptive cruise functions, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic-sign recognition, and warnings for approaching vehicles when opening the doors.
Reservations for the GWM Haval H7 are now open at authorized GWM dealerships nationwide.
