VinFast's E-motorcycle battery subscription program explained

Price, subscription, and charging FAQs

Published Jun 18, 2026 09:32 pm
VinFast is about to launch three new e-motorcycles with swappable batteries. The motorcycle models, the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper, come in particularly appealing prices.
The VinFast Evo is priced at ₱70,000 (with battery subscription), ₱82,700 (including one battery), and ₱95,400 (including two batteries). The VinFast Feliz II is priced at ₱72,400 (with battery subscription), ₱85,100 (including one battery), and ₱97,800 (including two batteries). Meanwhile, the VinFast Viper is priced at ₱81,900 (with battery subscription), ₱94,600 (including one Battery), and ₱107,300 (including two batteries).
While the price is certainly tempting, a phrase like "battery subscription," may cause some hesitation. To ease any concerns, VinFast has put together a quick FAQ on how the subscription, recharging, and battery swapping works.
The good news is that the system is actually much simpler than it sounds. Unlike traditional ownership models, customers can choose whether to purchase the battery outright or subscribe to a battery service that gives them access to VinFast's battery-swapping network. Riders can also charge their batteries at home using standard household outlets.
Here's a few more FAQs that are gladly answered.
How does the VinFast e-motorcycles battery subscription work?
VinFast offers two ownership options. The first option is to avail of a battery subscription. Customers purchase the e-motorcycle without buying the battery and instead pay a monthly battery subscription fee. This option gives riders access to VinFast's fast-growing battery-swapping network while still allowing them to charge at home. The regular subscription fee is ₱439 per battery per month.
As an introductory offer, customers who sign up for the battery subscription program on or before July 31, 2026, will receive free battery subscription for one battery during the first 12 months and up to 20 free battery swaps per month during the promotional period.
The second option is to avail of battery ownership. Customers may also purchase the battery outright. In this case, there are no monthly subscription fees, but battery swapping will not be available. The battery can be charged at home using compatible charging equipment.
Where can riders charge these e-motorcycles?
VinFast's e-motorcycle lineup is designed around a battery-swapping ecosystem, complemented by home charging capability. Owners can swap batteries at designated VinFast battery-swapping stations. They can also charge batteries at home through standard residential electrical outlets using the charger that comes with the e-motorcycle. They can also buy a 1,000W fast charger as an after-sales option.
V-Green, VinFast’s global charging partner, plans to deploy approximately 30,000 battery-swapping stations nationwide. The initial rollout is expected to begin with VinFast dealer locations before expanding further.
If I own the battery, can I still use battery-swapping stations?
Battery swapping is exclusively available to customers enrolled in the battery subscription program. However, battery owners can still charge their batteries at home using the included charger plugged into a wall socket.
Battery Subscription members can charge their batteries at home using the included charger, as well as use the battery swapping stations. They only need to pay a monthly subscription fee. Subscribers can deposit their depleted battery into Battery Swapping stations and exchange it for a fully charged one as part of the subscription.
How long does a full home charge take?
Home charging typically takes approximately three to four hours for one battery. It can take approximately six to eight hours for two batteries. You don’t need to plug the e-motorcycle in. The batteries can be removed from the vehicle to be charged separately from the vehicle. The batteries are interchangeable across the Evo, Feliz II, and Viper lineup.
Are VinFast e-motorcycles road legal in the Philippines?
Yes. VinFast's e-motorcycles are intended to be road-legal vehicles and are expected to undergo standard Land Transportation Office (LTO) registration procedures before operating on public roads.
As with conventional motorcycles, riders must comply with LTO registration requirements, must have a valid driver's license with the appropriate restriction code, wear a helmet when operating it, and abide by road safety regulations.
Can these e-motorcycles handle steep roads with two passengers?
VinFast Viper
VinFast Viper
Yes. The Evo, Feliz II, and Viper are full-fledged electric motorcycles. They are much more capable than your typical low-power electric bicycles.
VinFast e-motorcycles can reach speeds as high as 80 – 90 km/h, depending on the model. With one fully-charged battery, an e-motorcycle can travel as far as 80-km. With two fully charged batteries, an e-motorcycle can travel as far as 150-km.
How fast they can climb these steep roads depends on the model, combined rider and passenger weight, road gradient, battery charge level, and weather and road conditions.
Are financing options available?
Yes. Financing packages are available through authorized VinFast dealers. Interested customers may visit their nearest dealership, where sales representatives can provide details on financing plans, requirements, and application procedures.
How can customers reserve one?
Reservations may be placed through VinFast dealerships nationwide, or the official VinFast Philippines website, vinfastauto.ph. The Early Booking Program runs from June 10 to July 18, 2026, with a booking fee of ₱3,000.
