Traffic slowdowns and road closures are expected in the UP Diliman area in Quezon City on June 27 as the local government enforces adjustments for the Pride March 2026 and related activities.
The Quezon City Government, in partnership with Pride PH and the Maginhawa Food Community, will lead the LOVELAB4N Pride Festival, Pride March, and Maginhawa Pride Village from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight.
The Quezon City Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) said the Pride March will pass through University Avenue, Emilio Jacinto Street, Commonwealth Avenue, Ylanan Street, Osmeña Avenue, Roxas Avenue, and Lakandula Street.
Three to four lanes of Commonwealth Avenue are expected to be temporarily closed depending on the number of participants, while traffic cones will be installed along affected roads to guide motorists and parade participants.
University Avenue corner C.P. Garcia and select portions of C.P. Garcia Road will also be temporarily closed.
Maginhawa Street, between Mapagkawanggawa and Magiting Streets, will also be closed for activities under the Maginhawa Pride Village.
Traffic and security operations will be handled by the TTMD, the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), Task Force Disiplina, and the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) to ensure orderly movement and public safety throughout the day-long events.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes as heavy traffic buildup is expected in and around the UP Diliman area during the celebrations.
