A police officer from the Southern Police District (SPD) earned commendation after going beyond his duty to assist a stranded motorist in Pasay City.
Patrolman Jefferson N. Alinsunurin of the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) was on Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) duty along J.W. Diokno Boulevard when he noticed a man pushing his motorcycle by the roadside.
Concerned, he approached and learned that the motorist had run out of fuel and was unable to buy gasoline after allegedly losing his money to co-workers.
Moved by the man’s plight, Alinsunurin personally gave him P500, allowing him to refuel and continue his journey safely.
Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver C. Cinco, SPD director, lauded the officer’s compassion, noting that such acts reflect the district’s commitment to serve not only as enforcers of the law but also as public servants ready to help in times of need.
Cinco emphasized that Alinsunurin’s gesture is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference and reinforce public confidence in the police force.
