Pasay City mayor highlights investment in early childhood education

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano underscored the importance of investing in children’s education during the distribution of learning materials to thousands of beneficiaries of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program on June 17 at the Pasay City Astrodome.
The mayor, together with the Pasay City Social Welfare Development Department, led the initiative to provide young learners with educational materials designed to build essential skills and prepare them for their academic journey.
In her message, Rubiano emphasized that education remains a top priority of the city government, particularly for children in their formative years.
“These are not just simple materials. They are our humble way of helping children have a better, happier, and more confident start to their education. This is Tapat at Higit sa Sapat na Paglilingkod in action,” she said.
She stressed that equipping children with the right tools is both an investment in their future and a reflection of Pasay’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of Pasayeños.
The materials aim to support cognitive, social, and emotional development while fostering a love for learning at an early age.
Rubiano also assured parents that the city government will continue to implement programs promoting quality education and child development, recognizing the vital role of families and communities in helping children succeed.
