L'Occitane en Provence celebrates 50 years of beauty rooted in nature
By John Legaspi
One thing that has made L’Occitane en Provence a staple on the vanities of many homes is its ability to unite beauty with nature. Its story began in 1976, when the young Olivier Baussan distilled rosemary and sold essential oils in the markets of Haute-Provence. Since then, the brand has expanded its offerings and established a presence around the world.

As it marks its golden jubilee this year, the brand is strengthening its promise to reinforce the ties between beauty, people, and nature. During its anniversary celebration held on June 8 at The Penthouse at Twenty-Four Seven in Taguig City, L’Occitane en Provence gathered beauty enthusiasts to toast the milestone.
“This year is very exciting because L’Occitane is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a global theme that says it all: ‘Crafting Life Ties.’ It will be a full year of extraordinary moments,” the brand’s merchandise manager, Aprille Cabrera, teased.
The first chapter of its year-long celebration is marked by the official unveiling of its products’ new look. This transformation will be reflected in products released from 2025 through 2027. Accompanying this new chapter is a broader reset, including a refreshed visual identity and creative direction for campaigns and online platforms, as well as new store and spa concepts that bring the nature and sensoriality of Haute-Provence to life through fully renewed experiences.
While L’Occitane en Provence is gearing up to present new innovations during its jubilee year, what remains the same is its long-standing promise: creating beauty that enriches the connection between ourselves, others, and the living world.
