Jonvic debunks Pulong's ICC arrest warrant claim vs Bong Go, 2 others

Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong’’ Duterte may not be in his right senses following his social media post that “highly reliable sources’’ informed him that the International Criminal Court (ICC) had issued arrest warrants against Senator Bong Go and two former police officers,
This was stressed by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic’’ Remulla on Thursday, June 18, as he denied receiving any document from the ICC.
Remulla insisted that authorities have yet to receive official communication on the alleged issuance of ICC arrest warrants, "He (Duterte) was probably high when he read it."
Duterte berated the administration for supposedly using the ICC as a weapon against its political adversaries.
“Wala na ba talagang katapusan ang administrasyong ito sa paggamit ng ICC bilang political weapon laban sa kanilang mga kalaban (Is there no end in the administration’s use of the ICC as a political weapon against its rivals?’’ Duterte said.
“Wala na ba talaga kayong awa o hiya sa pinag gagawa ninyo (Don’t you have any shame or even compassion in what you are doing?’’ he added.
Further, Duterte berated the administration for allegedly using government resources to silence its critics to cover-up the bigger issue of corruption and thievery in the country’s coffers.
Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said Go, a former aide of former President Rodrigo Duterte, is the next target of an arrest warrant from the ICC.
He claimed to have received information that an arrest warrant awaits Go for allegedly being a co-conspirator of the Duterte patriarch for cases of crimes against humanity, murder and attempted murder.
However, Remulla said no formal notice has been received by Philippine authorities as no official communication had been provided to local authorities with no official communication received by the Department of Justice (DOJ) at this time.
Likewise, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said no such notice or any form of documentation was received with regards to the alleged ICC warrants.
