'Alon, Hangin, at Laya' brings together artists exploring freedom through art at The Monarch Pop-Up
This June 13, art enthusiasts are invited to experience "Alon, Hangin at Laya," a group exhibition opening at The Monarch Pop-Up in Molito, Alabang. Bringing together artists from Monarch and Kalyehon Gallery, the exhibition reflects on the many meanings of laya—freedom as movement, transformation, self-discovery, and connection with the natural world.
The exhibition features works by Richard Buxani, Eugene Cubillo, Kring Dumalag, DanaMatrix, Kidlat, Wilfredo Magsino, Ramon Cajipe, JR Paraiso, Pierre Paolo, Manelle Huang, and Thomas Huang. Through diverse artistic approaches and visual languages, the participating artists explore themes inspired by the sea, the wind, and the enduring human desire to be free.
Drawing from the imagery of waves and open skies, "Alon, Hangin at Laya" invites viewers to reflect on both external and internal landscapes. Some works celebrate the boundless freedom found in nature, while others contemplate personal growth, identity, memory, and the quiet courage of becoming oneself.
Together, the exhibition presents freedom not as a singular destination, but as a continuous journey—shaped by movement, change, and the unseen forces that guide us, much like the tides and the wind.
Alon, Hangin at Laya opens on June 13 at The Monarch Pop-Up, Molito Alabang, and will feature a collection of artworks that capture the spirit of exploration, possibility, and liberation.
For art lovers, collectors, and curious visitors alike, the exhibition offers a chance to encounter stories of freedom expressed through contemporary Philippine art.
