Police arrested two suspected drug dealers and seized P734,400 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Thursday, June 18.
Parañaque City Police chief Col. Nicolas Pinon identified the suspects as Gerard, listed as a high-value individual (HVI), and Cristy, tagged as a street-level dealer.
The suspects were nabbed around 2:40 a.m. in Barangay San Isidro during an entrapment operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit.
Recovered from Gerard were one sachet of shabu, the subject of sale; six additional sachets totaling about 102 grams, buy-bust money, a gray sling bag, and a cellphone used in the transaction. From Cristy, police seized another five grams of shabu.
Police said the arrests dealt a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in southern Metro Manila.
The suspects are detained at the police custodial facility and face charges under Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
