The Pasay City government, through the Pasay City Tourism and Cultural Development Office, is marking its second year of partnership with ToyCon PH 2026, the country's premier pop culture convention that brings together toy collectors, hobbyists, artists, cosplayers, gamers, and entertainment enthusiasts.
The event, held at the SMX Convention Center Manila on June 13, serves as a major platform for showcasing toys, collectibles, comics, games, art, and various forms of pop culture while providing opportunities for businesses, creators, and fans to connect.
Representing Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, Councilor Luigi Calixto-Rubiano attended the opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, reaffirming the city's support for initiatives that promote tourism, entertainment, and the creative industry.
Rubiano said ToyCon PH 2026 featured more than 400 exhibitors offering a wide range of products, including action figures, toys, collectibles, art toys, hobby items, original artworks, and exclusive merchandise.
The event also highlighted the growing local creative community by providing a venue for artists, designers, and independent creators to showcase their work.
He added that ToyCon PH has evolved into one of the largest and most anticipated pop culture gatherings in the country, contributing significantly to tourism, hospitality, retail, and related industries while positioning Pasay as a hub for major entertainment and convention events.
The city government said its continued partnership with ToyCon PH reflects Pasay's commitment to supporting large-scale events that stimulate economic activity, attract local and international visitors, and showcase the city as a premier destination for conventions, exhibitions, and world-class gatherings.
The local government said the successful staging of ToyCon PH 2026 further strengthens Pasay City's reputation as a leading venue for major events and reinforces its role in promoting cultural, creative, and tourism-driven development.
