Kim Ga-ram relaunches career as actress

Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Ga-ram, 20, is stepping into a new chapter of her career as she transitions into acting.

On June 16, Korean entertainment agency Management Koo announced that it has signed an exclusive contract with Kim Ga-ram.

“We were deeply impressed by her potential for growth as an actor and her diligent attitude while consistently watching actor Kim Ga-ram's YouTube activities. Her efforts to achieve her dreams and her continuous development were the key factors in our decision to sign an exclusive contract,” the agency said.

Kim Ga-ram debuted in May 2022 as a member of the K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM. However, she later faced accusations of school bullying.

In July of the same year, HYBE and Source Music announced the termination of her exclusive contract.

Management Koo currently represents actors Ha Seok-jin, Lee Yo-won, Yoo In-soo, and Lee Tae-hyung.

The agency said Kim Ga-ram has been training and studying to improve her acting skills, while also dedicating time to learning English and Japanese, as well as playing the guitar.

“We highly valued her attitude of investing most of her time in preparation and self-development to fulfill her dream of becoming an actor, as well as her constant efforts to fill in her shortcomings.”

They added, “After internal discussions, we determined that his potential for future growth and capabilities are immense, leading us to sign an exclusive contract.”
