No senator from the bloc of Senator Alan Peter Cayetano was present during the purported hearing. Senator Pia Cayetano, the Blue Ribbon Committee chairman under their bloc, issued no statement or confirmation regarding the event.

Even Senator Rodante Marcoleta, who previously headed a "hearing" of the Blue Ribbon subcommittee--which invited the 18 "ex-bagmen"--was not present.

Only Senator Imee Marcos arrived earlier at the venue, but apparently left after being refused entry into the venue.

The event started with a speech from Defensor.

Lawyer of the 18 "ex-bagmen", Levi Baligod, was present to introduce four additional witnesses.
