Several areas in Manila will face temporary water service interruptions next week as Maynilad Water Services Inc. conducts scheduled maintenance works.
In an advisory, Maynilad said the activities aim to keep its water distribution system in the West Zone safe and reliable and are scheduled during off peak hours to limit disruption.
Affected are Barangays 51, 603, 605, 610 to 612, and 614 to 616, which will have no water from 10 a.m. on June 15 to 3 p.m. on June 16 due to network maintenance at Magistrado Arellano corner Magistrado Mapa.
Barangays 124 to 146 and 177 will experience interruption from 10 p.m. of June 15 to 6 a.m. of June 16 for network diagnostic and leak localization works along Honorio Lopez Boulevard.
A wider group of areas including Barangays 1 to 10, 36, 39, 40, 50 to 65, 74 to 84, 86 to 93, 124, 128 to 153, 163, 168 to 172, 177 to 197, 221, 222, 229 to 233, 313, 314, 329, 330, 335, 356 to 382, 492 to 497, and 500 will have daily interruptions from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. from June 14 to 21 covering parts of Rizal Avenue, Moriones Street, Santa Cruz, and Tondo.
Meanwhile, Barangays 98 to 101, 105, and 106 will be affected from 10 p.m. of June 17 to 6 a.m. of June 18 due to similar works along C3 Road.
Maynilad advised residents to store enough water ahead of the scheduled interruptions and to let water run briefly once service resumes until it clears.
The company said its operations are monitored and regulated by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Regulatory Office.
