TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – A group that cares for rescued dogs here plans to close down the shelter due to a long-standing reliable water supply problem.
The Aspin Academy Corp. has been suffering for years from the problem that is critical for the daily care of more than 70 dogs rescued from various areas in Region 4-A or the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon region.
Aspin Academy said they have been repeatedly asking for help and trying to raise funds to build a deep well that will serve as a long-term solution.
But not even five percent of the required budget has been raised, they said.
Aspin Academy added that they approached the local government several times but their appeal has not been granted.
Despite this, Aspin Academy said their mission to find permanent homes for the dogs remains.
Their rescues have been open for adoption from the beginning, and it is not their intention to keep them in the shelter forever, they said.
They appealed to the public to adopt, donate, volunteer, and share their appeal.
