- Dennis Trillo considers his son Calix's survival after a serious car accident a miracle. The actor shares details of the crash, Calix's recovery, and an important road safety reminder.
Actor Dennis Trillo is counting his blessings after his son, Calix, narrowly escaped what could have been a tragic road accident, describing the incident as nothing short of a miracle.
Dennis recently shared an update on Calix’s condition.
“By God’s grace, nothing too serious happened to him except for some bruises and a fracture in his hand,” Dennis said in an interview with “24 Oras.”
What made the situation even more fortunate was that the injured hand was not the one Calix uses for fencing, a sport he actively pursues.
The actor admitted that the experience served as a powerful reminder of how fragile life can be. He has since encouraged Calix to be grateful for every moment, especially after being given what he considers a second chance at life.
“I told him it’s very important to be thankful for every hour given to you, especially after an accident like this where no one was seriously harmed and your life was spared,” Dennis shared.
Last month, Dennis first revealed the accident through a Facebook post, describing Calix’s vehicle as a “total wreck.” According to the actor, the car hit a road island and overturned, leaving his son with injuries to his head, arm, and left hand.
Despite the frightening ordeal, Dennis emphasized that not everyone involved in similar accidents is as fortunate. He also used the incident to remind motorists never to drive while sleepy.
“Lesson: If you’re feeling drowsy, don’t force yourself to drive. Stop, stretch, or take a short nap first,” he advised.
