Cebu Pacific finishes buying AirSWIFT, moves flights under Cebgo
Cebu Air Inc., the country’s largest budget carrier operator, announced that all flights under its boutique airline subsidiary AirSWIFT will be absorbed and operated by its regional unit Cebgo starting July 1, 2026.
In a statement, Cebu Pacific said that the operational consolidation will not impact existing flight schedules or passenger services.
Flights serving El Nido are slated to continue running as originally planned. However, passengers holding tickets under the AirSWIFT legacy designator will see a structural adjustment in their itineraries, as all bookings under the T6 airline code will officially migrate to the DG code used by Cebgo.
The transition marked the final integration phase of AirSWIFT into Cebu Pacific's corporate structure following its ₱1.75 billion acquisition from Ayala Corp.’s ALI Capital Corp. That deal, closed to scale up the budget airline’s dominance in premium domestic leisure routes, gave Cebu Pacific control over exclusive turboprop pathways to island destinations.
AirSWIFT currently links Clark International Airport to El Nido, alongside routes connecting the Palawan hub to major tourist markets, including Boracay, Bohol, Cebu, and Coron.
