The truck involved in the collision was carrying bottles of soft drinks while traveling along the southbound lane of the C5 Ortigas Flyover in Barangay Ugong.
Reports said the driver of the soft drink-carrying truck allegedly failed to avoid another trailer truck that had stalled in front of it after reportedly breaking down.
The Pasig City government said the southbound lane was closed to traffic since 1 a.m. on Sunday, June 14, while Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) personnel conducted towing and clearing operations to remove the trucks.
As of 9 a.m., the trailer trucks had been removed from the site, but the road remained impassable to give way to continued clearing operations to remove broken glass and bottles of soft drinks scattered in the area.
