What began as a hobby sewing clothes for herself and her daughters has grown into a fashion brand with a devoted following—one that is now celebrating its ninth anniversary with a pop-up at Power Plant Mall.

For Style Ana founder and creative director Sheryl Ann Buenaventura, the temporary retail space represents a milestone that feels both personal and symbolic—the opportunity to bring the brand's creations closer to customers.
Founded in 2017, Style Ana was born from a love of creating clothing for her family. As friends began requesting similar designs and referrals steadily increased, what started as a creative outlet gradually evolved into a business. The brand's name itself reflects its origins, inspired by her daughters, Ana Ysabel and Ana Stella.
Over the years, Style Ana built a loyal following among women looking for pieces that are feminine, versatile, and easy to wear. But after nearly a decade, Sheryl felt it was time for customers to experience the brand beyond a screen.
"As Style Ana celebrates its ninth year, it felt like the right moment to have a physical space where people could experience the brand beyond online. There is something special about allowing clients to see the craftsmanship, touch the fabrics, and connect with the stories behind each piece in person,” she tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle.

The pop-up brings together some of the brand's signature pieces, featuring its latest collections, signature designs, anniversary highlights, and pieces that celebrate both contemporary fashion and Filipino craftsmanship.
"More than a retail space, we wanted it to feel like a celebration of the women, stories, and artisans who have shaped the brand over the past nine years," she says.
That appreciation for craftsmanship remains central to Style Ana's identity. Known for incorporating handwoven textiles and artisan-made details into contemporary silhouettes, the brand has built its reputation on creating pieces designed to outlast seasonal trends.
When asked what matters most in the design process, Sheryl’s answer is immediate.
"Versatility always comes first. I believe women should get the most out of every piece they invest in."
That philosophy is reflected in some of the brand's bestselling designs, including the Blusa with its Inabel-woven straps, the adaptable Tapis, and the sculptural Lia Top. While distinct in appearance, each piece is designed to fit seamlessly into everyday wardrobes.
The pop-up features many of Style Ana's beloved pieces.

"I believe customers gravitate toward these pieces because they offer something distinctive while remaining highly wearable," says Sheryl, who believes today's Filipino women are approaching fashion differently than they did a decade ago. Rather than simply following trends, many are becoming more intentional about how they dress and where they spend.
"There is a stronger appreciation for personal style rather than simply following trends," she says. "More women are also intentionally supporting local brands and embracing pieces that reflect both modern living and Filipino identity."
Consumers are increasingly interested in quality, craftsmanship, and the stories behind what they buy. "What has surprised me most is how deeply people connect with stories. While design and quality are important, clients often connect most strongly with the people, craftsmanship, and purpose behind the pieces."
After nine years, one of the most valuable lessons she has learned is patience. "Growth takes time. Building a brand is not about chasing quick success. It's about consistency, adaptability, and staying true to your values."
