LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office led by Police Col. Dennis L. de Leon met Muslim leaders, Salaam Police Advocacy Group members, and chiefs of police for a dialogue to strengthen peace and security in the province.
The recent gathering underscored a shared message – peace is stronger when communities and law enforcement work hand-in-hand.
Discussions focused on strengthening mutual trust, promoting understanding among diverse sectors, and encouraging active community participation in maintaining peace and order.
De Leon said that the Muslim community remains a valuable partner in building safer communities and fostering harmony throughout Pangasinan.
The event ended with a fellowship meal symbolizing brotherhood, respect, and solidarity that showed that despite differences in culture and faith, unity remains the foundation of lasting peace.
Among those present in the event were Fiscal Jeffrey Catungal, Datu Allan Maasir, president of the North Central Luzon Council for Muslim and Christian Inc., Abdul Malik Garcia Narvas, North Central Luzon Council for Muslim and Christian Inc. Pangasinan chapter president, and Muslim community representatives from various cities and municipalities in the province.
