P3.1-M medical aid released to Manileños under Kaagapay Program
The Manila local government has provided around P3.1 million in medical assistance to residents through its Kaagapay Program, which aims to help cover healthcare expenses for those in need.
The assistance, initiated by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso, is part of the city’s ongoing social support efforts for residents facing medical concerns.
City officials said the funds were sourced from local revenues and allocated through existing assistance programs to ensure that aid reaches beneficiaries requiring immediate financial support for hospitalization, medicines, and other health-related costs.
The Kaagapay Program is among the city government’s initiatives designed to ease the financial burden of healthcare, particularly for low-income residents.
Authorities noted that sustained funding for assistance programs is tied to the city’s fiscal management, allowing resources to be directed toward social services.
The distribution of medical aid reflects ongoing efforts by the local government to expand access to basic services while addressing the needs of vulnerable sectors in Manila.
