"We're working on it" - Meta addresses Meta outage

Andy Stone, Vice President of Communications at Meta, addressed the Meta outage Friday evening local time. Stone posted on X: “We’re aware people are currently having trouble accessing our services. We’re working on it.”

Users have been posting about issues accessing Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram on the evening of June 12, 2026. Users flocked to X to confirm the reported issues, with some saying that they have been logged out of Messenger.

Downdetector, which monitors outages, saw a spike above its normal numbers around 9:00 PM local time in reported issues for Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
