TACLOBAN CITY – Police Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy, Police Regional Office-8 chief, assured the people that they are independent and non-partisan.
Capoy reminded personnel to uphold their love for the country and their commitment to serve Filipinos with honesty and integrity during the flag-raising ceremony commemorating the 128th anniversary of Philippine independence on Friday, June 12, in Camp Ruperto Kangleon in Palo, Leyte.
“Our loyalty must be to the Constitution alone and not to any individual or group. Our true allegiance belongs to the Philippine flag,” he stressed.
He encouraged lawmen to draw inspiration from the sacrifices of national heroes and continue fulfilling their duties with integrity, professionalism, and dedication to nation-building.
PRO-8 personnel renewed their oath to maintain peace and order, protect the rights and welfare of the people, and stay faithful to their mission of ensuring safer and more secure communities across Eastern Visayas.
