Quezon City will enforce heightened security as the police district deploys 2,654 personnel to maintain peace during the 128th Philippine Independence Day on June 12.
To bolster the deployment, 147 force multipliers and 106 personnel from partner agencies will be stationed in key areas across the city to strengthen security coverage.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has coordinated with local government units and national agencies to ensure the effective implementation of security and public safety measures ahead of the national observance.
Police visibility, intelligence monitoring, traffic management, crowd control, and emergency response operations will be intensified to maintain order and ensure public safety throughout the celebration.
QCPD director Police Brig. Gen. Silvio said all units are fully prepared to respond to any incidents during the Independence Day festivities.
He also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities through emergency hotlines and local police stations.
