Police alert parents after Grade 6 student robbed in San Juan
Authorities renewed their call for parents to remind children not to talk to strangers after a Grade 6 student in San Juan City was allegedly duped by a man who stole her mobile phone.

On Thursday, June 11, San Juan City Police Station (CPS) said that an investigation remains ongoing after the deception incident that occurred in Barangay Balong Bato on June 1.
Based on the investigation, the child was walking in the area when the suspect approached her and gained her trust by pretending to be an acquaintance of her parents before taking her mobile phone and fleeing the area.
Authorities are now conducting follow-up operations to identify and arrest the suspect, following coordination with Barangay Balong Bato officials to review CCTV footage and gather evidence.
To prevent similar incidents, San Juan police said that additional police visibility and patrols have been implemented, particularly near schools and other public areas.
“The San Juan City Police urges parents to remind their children not to talk to or accompany strangers,” San Juan CPS emphasized.
It also urged the public who have information about the suspect to report it to the nearest police station.
