The Pasig Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (Pasig OSCA) reminded senior citizens that the local government does not require any payment or fees to receive benefits intended for them.
On Wednesday, June 10, Pasig OSCA urged the public to report any individuals, whether employees of the Pasig LGU or not, who ask for payment in exchange for government benefits.
“Ang lokal na Pamahalaan ng Pasig ay regular na nagtatakda ng mga programa at benepisyo para sa lahat ng Senior Citizens ng Pasig dahil kinikilala namin ang halaga at ambag ninyo sa ating lipunan (The local government of Pasig regularly implements programs and provides benefits for all senior citizens of Pasig in recognition of their value and contributions to society),” it said.
“Nais po naming muling ipaalam na wala pong hinihininging anumang bayad ang Lokal na Pamahalaan para makakuha kayo ng mga benepisyo na sadyang nakalaan para sa inyo. Wala pong dapat bayaran para makakuha ng benepisyo (We would like to remind the public once again that the local government does not require any payment in order to access the benefits intended for them. There are no fees required to receive these benefits),” it added.
Reports may be submitted to the OSCA office at Tanghalang Pasigueño, OSCA Facebook Messenger, or through Ugnayan sa Pasig at the Temporary City Hall via hotline 8643-1111 local 1211 and 1212.
The office also encouraged those with questions or in need of clarification to visit the Senior Help Desk Officer (SHDO) assigned in their respective barangays or the OSCA Office at Tanghalang Pasigueño.
It said that SHDOs are always available to provide information on programs for senior citizens.
It also urged the public to report any complaints or concerns regarding SHDOs or any OSCA personnel to Ugnayan sa Pasig.
“Muli po, mahalaga po kayo sa amin dahil kayo po ay kinikilala namin na katuwang sa mabuting pamamahala. Mahalaga ang inyong tinig (Once again, you are important to us as we recognize you as partners in good governance. Your voice matters),” the office said.
