The Caloocan City government has issued a traffic advisory regarding temporary road closures and a rerouting scheme in connection with the celebration of the 128th Independence Day.
According to the city’s Public Safety and Traffic Management Department, the traffic scheme will be implemented from 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, until 12:00 noon on Friday, June 12.
The affected roads include Rizal Avenue from 10th Avenue to Monumento Circle, both sides; EDSA from B. Serrano Street to Monumento Circle, southbound; Samson Road from Dagohoy Street to Monumento Circle, both sides; and the northbound zipper lane of MacArthur Highway.
Motorists coming from MacArthur Highway going to EDSA were advised to use the EDSA northbound zipper lane.
Those heading from MacArthur Highway to Rizal Avenue may pass through Pinagtipunan Circle in Malabon City, Gov. Pascual Avenue, Araneta Avenue, Caimito Road, Samson Road, New Abbey Road, 10th Avenue, and Rizal Avenue.
Motorists from Rizal Avenue going to EDSA may take 10th Avenue, B. Serrano Street, and EDSA.
Those from Rizal Avenue going to MacArthur Highway may also take 10th Avenue, B. Serrano Street, and EDSA, then use the U-turn slot along EDSA northbound.
The city government also advised motorists from Samson Road going to EDSA and Rizal Avenue to take New Abbey Road, 10th Avenue, B. Serrano Street, and EDSA.
Those from Samson Road going to MacArthur Highway may take Caimito Road, J.P. Bautista Street, and Tuazon Avenue.
Motorists were advised to plan their trips ahead, take alternate routes, and follow the instructions of traffic enforcers to avoid inconvenience.
