The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested three men and seized shabu worth P680,000 during a buy-bust operation inside a fast-food restaurant comfort room in Taguig City on June 11.
The operation was carried out at around 2:15 a.m. in Barangay Lower Bicutan by SPD’s District Drug Enforcement Unit, District Intelligence Division, and Taguig Police Sub-station 12.
The main suspect, identified as alias Ty, 29, was tagged as a high-value target. He was arrested along with alias Kiko, 29, and alias Ekoy, 30, who were classified as street-level individuals.
A poseur-buyer transacted with Ty, leading to the recovery of a plastic sachet containing approximately 50 grams of shabu, a mobile phone, and buy-bust money. Police later arrested the two other suspects and seized another 50 grams of shabu.
The suspects will face complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Ty will be charged with the sale of illegal drugs, while Kiko and Ekoy will face charges for possession.
The confiscated drugs will be submitted to the SPD forensic laboratory for chemical analysis, and the complaints will be filed with the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
