Police arrested a 32-year-old man convicted of drug possession and ranked No. 9 on Muntinlupa’s most wanted list in Barangay Tunasan on June 9.
Alias Toto, who had been convicted under Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), was apprehended in Laguerta.
Operatives from the Muntinlupa police’s Warrant and Subpoena Unit nabbed him based on a warrant of arrest for service of sentence issued on April 24 by Acting Presiding Judge Desiree Orquiola-Moldez of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 206.
He was taken to the Laguerta Health Center for a mandatory physical and medical examination before being turned over to the police station’s custodial facility unit.
Authorities will wait for the court to issue a commitment order for his transfer to a detention facility.
“Apprehending individuals with outstanding judicial orders for service of sentence is vital to ensuring that justice is fully carried out,” said Brig. Gen. Glenn Oliver Cinco, district director of the Southern Police District.
