Eurotel Hotel has given a simple idea a powerful purpose: turning retired hotel linens into eco-friendly tote bags, with every peso of proceeds going to children with disabilities and their families.

The hotel formally launched the Eurotel x KPAO Upcycled Tote Bag Project at a media event at Eurotel North EDSA, in partnership with the Quezon City Kabahagi Parent Advocates Organization (KPAO). The gathering drew government officials, private-sector leaders, advocacy groups, and members of the media around a shared cause: inclusion, sustainability, and community empowerment.

The project transforms retired hotel linen blankets into limited-edition tote bags — keeping usable materials out of the landfill while raising funds for a cause. Anchored on Eurotel’s theme of Smart, Safe, and Green Hospitality, it stands as one of the company’s large-scale regenerative-hospitality efforts — a sustainable upcycling initiative that gives retired linens a new purpose.

A Cause People Showed Up For
The launch drew strong backing from the media and from government agencies, including local government units (LGUs), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Department of Transportation (DOTr), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). Their presence helped amplify the advocacy and spotlight the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
Actress and longtime advocate Ms. Ara Mina added a heartfelt moment to the afternoon, sharing a personal message of compassion, resilience, and service that resonated with the crowd and rallied support for inclusive programs.

Among the notable guests were Ms. Karen S. Sagun, City Government Assistant Department Head III and Director I of the Quezon City Kabahagi Center; Col. Edison “Bong” Nebrija of the MMDA; Mr. Patrick Larraga, Corporate Branding and Public Relations Head of Bell-Kenz Pharma Inc.; and Ms. Anna Leah Poteet Morales, Supervising Transportation Regulation Officer of the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT).
Driven by Advocates
Leading KPAO were Ms. Josefa “Jho” Peñaflor, KPAO Chairman and Eurotel–KPAO Partnership Project Director; Ms. Sarah Tupaz, KPAO President and Project Patron; and Ms. Cecilia Millang, KPAO Vice-President — whose work helped build a partnership rooted in dignity, inclusion, and empowerment for the special-needs community.
The initiative was also made possible by partners and sponsors Gardenia and Bell-Kenz Pharma Inc., whose support helped strengthen the campaign and extend its reach.
“This partnership reflects the very heart of what Eurotel stands for — Service and Comfort with a Purpose,” said Christian Bona, Corporate Marketing Head of Eurotel. “Hospitality isn’t only about quality accommodations and service — it’s about creating a lasting, positive impact on the communities around us. We hope to inspire more people and organizations to champion environmental responsibility, inclusion, and community development.”
Where to Get Yours
The Eurotel x KPAO Tote Bags are now available at participating branches nationwide:
• Eurotel North EDSA

Every purchase does double duty — supporting a greener planet while directly helping Filipino children with disabilities and their families. More than a stylish accessory, each bag carries a bigger purpose: 100% of proceeds go straight to KPAO’s programs.
Through this partnership, Eurotel and KPAO are showing that true hospitality goes beyond comfort. It’s about creating opportunities, championing inclusion, protecting the planet, and building communities where everyone feels valued.
