National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Commissioner Dr. Francis M. Navarro will serve as guest of honor and lead the commemoration at the historic grounds of Barasoain Church at exactly 7 a.m.
The celebration, themed “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan,” will feature a wreath‑laying ceremony in front of General Emilio Aguinaldo’s monument, with Navarro joined by Governor Fernando, Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, City of Malolos Mayor Christian D. Natividad, and Vice Mayor Gilbert T. Gatchalian.
Fernando underscored the importance of honoring the sacrifices of Filipino heroes by protecting and enriching the freedom they secured.
The commemoration in Malolos, long regarded as the cradle of Philippine democracy, continues to highlight Bulacan’s enduring role in the nation’s history and its commitment to preserving the legacy of independence for future generations.
