Suzuki Philippines Incorporated introduced the all-new Suzuki e Vitara at the Philippine International Motor Show, marking the local debut of the brand’s first production-ready global battery-electric vehicle.
The e Vitara enters the Philippine market as Suzuki’s next step into electrified mobility. Pricing starts at ₱2,020,000, while the final color lineup and full local specifications will be announced at a later date.
The launch was led by Suzuki Philippines Director and General Manager for the Automobile Division Norihide Takei, who presented the model as part of the brand’s next stage in the country.
“Today, we take a monumental leap forward into a bold new chapter,” said Mr. Takei during the official reveal. “The All-New e VITARA reflects Suzuki’s commitment to delivering advanced mobility solutions that inspire confidence, excitement, and practicality for today’s generation of drivers. As we move toward the future of electrification, we invite everyone to join us as this new era begins.”
The e Vitara carries Suzuki’s “Metal Beast” design concept, with defined character lines, a coupe-like roofline, and an aerodynamic roof design. The front end uses a 3-point matrix LED lighting signature, while the rear has a more sculpted layout to match the vehicle’s compact SUV form.
Inside, the e Vitara gets a digital cockpit layout with an integrated dual-display setup. The cabin also features a twin-deck floating center console, rotary shift knob, and two-spoke polygonal steering wheel.
Suzuki fitted the cabin with soft-touch materials, textured trim, multicolor ambient lighting, and three-tone leatherette bucket seats. The driver gets a 10-way power-adjustable seat, while the front seats have ventilation. The second row uses a 40:20:40 split-folding bench with sliding and reclining functions for added flexibility.
The e Vitara is built on Suzuki’s HEARTECT-e architecture, a dedicated electric vehicle platform designed around body rigidity, cabin space, and high-voltage battery protection. Its electric powertrain uses an axle-mounted electric motor producing 174 PS and 93 Nm. Power comes from a 61 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery with liquid cooling, battery voltage monitoring, and safeguards against overheating and short circuits.
The e Vitara has a maximum driving range of 475 km on a full charge, based on official homologation data submitted to the Department of Energy. In real-world economy trials conducted with the Automobile Association Philippines, the electric SUV returned 87.22 km/L gasoline equivalent, or 9.8 km/kWh.
For infotainment, the e Vitara comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The audio system is supplied by Infinity and includes six speakers and a subwoofer, with sound tuning handled by a digital signal processor integrated into the amplifier.
Safety equipment includes Suzuki Safety Support, seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, an electronic parking brake with brake hold, and Dual Sensor Brake Support II. The package puts the e Vitara in line with the safety expectations of newer electrified crossovers entering the local market.
Visitors to the Suzuki booth at the Philippine International Motor Show can see the e Vitara together with the brand’s current vehicle lineup. Suzuki Philippines will release more details on the model’s final local specifications closer to its nationwide availability.
