The Pasay City government has taken a significant step in advancing employee development and digital learning with the launch of the Pasay E-Learning and Development Hub on June 4.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano spearheaded the inauguration of this innovative platform in partnership with the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), highlighting the city’s strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth for government employees.
In her message during the launch, Rubiano emphasized the importance of adapting to the rapidly evolving technological landscape and equipping public servants with the knowledge and skills needed to meet modern-day challenges.
"The Pasay City E-Learning and Development Hub, a platform designed to make learning more accessible, flexible, and relevant for our employees, has been a project that we have all been looking forward to," the mayor said.
Rubiano noted that public servants must go beyond traditional ways of working and continuously seek opportunities for growth and innovation.
She said that as public servants, they cannot just rely on what they are used to, or what is usual, and rather, in this time where technology is always advancing, they must make a conscious effort to stay informed and not get left behind.
The newly launched hub is expected to provide city employees with easier access to training programs, professional development courses, and learning resources that can be accessed anytime and anywhere, promoting a culture of lifelong learning within the local government.
Rubiano said the initiative is part of the administration's efforts to enhance workforce capability, improve public service delivery, and ensure that Pasay's employees remain responsive to the changing demands of governance in the digital age.
