One of the five suspects in the robbery of a Korean national in Quezon City was arrested while his cohorts, including a female minor, are now the subject of a police manhunt.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said the 43-year-old victim was robbed on June 5 in Barangay Sacred Heart by a female minor and four male companions. The group allegedly blocked and threatened him before taking his belongings.
Police immediately launched a case buildup and follow-up operation. A confidential informant later tipped off authorities, leading them to Barangay 197, Pasay City, where CCTV footage confirmed the suspects’ identities.
On June 7, operatives arrested the suspect, known as alias “Usok,” 20, at the Mini Plaza Basketball Court around 8 p.m.
Seized from him were two Yamaha Mio Sporty motorcycles, a Vivo cellphone, ₱7,000 cash, and a polo shirt belonging to the victim.
The arrested suspect will face robbery charges before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, while pursuit operations continue against his remaining cohorts.
