Jetour showcases Lightning i-DM SUVs and GAIA G700 at PIMS 2026

Jetour Auto Philippines placed electrified SUVs at the center of its display at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show, using the event to present its expanded Lightning i-DM plug-in hybrid lineup.
Jetour electrifies PIMS 2026 display
Held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, PIMS 2026 became the venue for Jetour’s “Time to Switch. Upgrade to Electric” campaign. The brand displayed the X70 Lightning i-DM and T2 Lightning i-DM, while also introducing the T1 Lightning i-DM to broaden its plug-in hybrid SUV range for the local market.
The T1 Lightning i-DM gives Jetour another electrified model between its family-oriented and lifestyle-focused SUVs. Together with the X70 and T2 plug-in hybrid models, the expanded lineup strengthens the brand’s position in a market where buyers are beginning to look at electrified vehicles as daily-use options rather than niche alternatives.
“What we are seeing at PIMS is a clear shift in how Filipinos view mobility. It’s no longer just about getting from point A to B, it is about efficiency, sustainability, and experience. With our expanding Lightning i-DM lineup, we’re giving customers more practical choices without compromising performance or design,” said Miguelito Jose, Managing Director of Jetour Auto Philippines Corp.
Jetour also used PIMS to highlight its recent growth. The brand said it now has more than 2 million owners across 91 countries and regions, with over 2,000 sales and service facilities worldwide. In the Philippines, Jetour said it has become one of the Top 3 Chinese SUV brands in the country, with UAAGI Auto Group supporting its local operations, dealer network, and aftersales program.
The opening day also gathered several of the brand’s ambassadors and partners. Ella Cruz and Julian Trono were introduced as new members of the Jetour Family, joining Camille Prats Yambao, VJ Yambao, and The Team Kramer, who continued their partnership with the brand.
GAIA G700 takes Jetour upmarket
After its PIMS showcase, Jetour is also moving further upmarket through Jetour GAIA, its premium electrified off-road sub-brand. Its flagship model, the GAIA G700, is positioned as a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV for buyers who want high power, long-distance range, and all-terrain hardware in one vehicle.
The G700 is a large SUV with a commanding road presence and a spacious cabin designed for both daily driving and long trips. It has up to 300 mm of ground clearance and a claimed 900 mm water wading depth. An adaptive air suspension system adjusts ride height and damping, giving the SUV the ability to handle rough terrain while keeping the cabin composed on paved roads.
Power comes from a front-mounted 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with dual electric motors. The front motor produces 210 kW, while the rear motor produces 300 kW. Combined output is rated at 904 PS and 1,135 Nm, allowing the G700 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 4.6 seconds.
The plug-in hybrid system is paired with a 100-liter fuel tank and a 34.13 kWh battery, giving the SUV a claimed combined range of up to 1,000 kilometers. For off-road use, the G700 gets real-time electric 4WD, front and rear locking differentials, tank turn capability, creep mode, and a transparent chassis view.
Inside, the G700 has ventilated front seats with lumbar adjustment, massage functions, and memory settings. The second row gets electrically adjustable leg rests and massage functions, while the electric third row can be adjusted depending on passenger or cargo needs.
The cabin also comes with automatic climate control with rear air-conditioning, CN95 PM2.5 filtration, cabin fragrance, and an 18-speaker Lexicon by Harman audio system. Its display layout includes a 35.4-inch instrument screen, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, and a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen. The infotainment system runs on a Snapdragon 8255 processor and supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and voice commands.
Safety and driver assistance features include a 23-point ADAS package, front, side, and curtain airbags, and a 360-degree camera system.
Jetour has yet to announce local pricing for the GAIA G700, though the brand has confirmed that the model will be supported through the Jetour GAIA Space in Quezon City and future GAIA locations in BGC and Alabang.
