Toyota Motor Philippines has opened reservations for the all-new Toyota Hilux, following the pickup’s local debut at the Philippine International Motor Show. The new model rides on a heavily updated IMV platform, with revised and expanded drivetrains.
It arrives with 2.8-liter diesel variants and a new battery electric vehicle model. The BEV gives the Hilux nameplate its first fully electric version for the Philippine market, while the diesel range continues to serve customers who need towing, hauling, long-distance use, and off-road capability.
Toyota is offering both diesel and electric versions as part of its multi-pathway approach to carbon neutrality, giving buyers a choice based on intended use and available infrastructure.
Hilux BEV
Similar to Toyota’s current offering, the Hilux BEV keeps the familiar proportions of the brand’s established pickup.
The Hilux BEV uses a 4x4 electric drivetrain with system output rated at 196 PS. Torque is rated at 200 Nm at the front and 269 Nm at the rear. It is fitted with a 59.2 kWh lithium-ion battery and has a rated EV range of 315 km under NEDC testing.
Charging ports are Type 2 for AC charging and CCS2 for DC charging. The BEV also comes with all-wheel drive, Electric Power Steering, shift-by-wire, and a Data Communication Module with remote functionality.
It rides on 265/65 R17 alloy wheels and receives its own BEV design front fascia.
Inside, the BEV gets synthetic leather seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 4-way manual passenger seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charger, and a 12.3-inch display audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety and driver assistance equipment include Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and a Panoramic View Monitor. The BEV will be available exclusively in Platinum White Pearl Mica.
The Hilux BEV sits at the top of the range at ₱2,990,000.
