ILOILO CITY—The Police Regional Office-6 (Western Visayas) is ready to be deployed to assist in relief efforts in the magnitude-7.8 earthquake in Mindanao Monday.
“Handa ang mga yunit nito sa posibleng evacuation assistance, humanitarian assistance, at iba pang support operations sakaling kailanganin, alinsunod sa direktiba ng pambansang pamahalaan (Units are ready for possible evacuation assistance, humanitarian assistance, and other support operations if needed, in accordance with the directive of the national government),” said PRO-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño.
“Aktibo rin ang koordinasyon ng PRO-6 sa iba’t-ibang ahensya upang makatulong sa pagbibigay ng tamang impormasyon at kinakailangang suporta sa mga apektadong lugar (PRO-6 is also actively coordinating with various agencies to help provide accurate information and necessary support to affected areas),” said noted.
Tuaño said he is awaiting a directive from the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame in Quezon City for deployment.
