Park Bom parts ways with agency after eight Years amid career uncertainty
Former 2NE1 member Park Bom has officially parted ways with her longtime agency, D-Nation Entertainment, ending an eight-year partnership as the singer continues to focus on her health and future plans.
In a statement, D-Nation Entertainment announced that both parties had mutually agreed to terminate her exclusive contract following extensive discussions.
"We would like to inform you that we have mutually agreed to terminate the exclusive contract with Park Bom following sufficient discussions," the agency said.
The 42-year-old singer has been on hiatus since August, prioritizing rest and recovery. According to the agency, the decision was made in consideration of her well-being and future career direction.
"Recently, Park Bom has been focusing on recovering her health and resting. We made this decision to respect the artist's stability and future direction of activities," D-Nation added.
Park Bom debuted as a member of the iconic K-pop group 2NE1 in 2009 under YG Entertainment. She later signed with D-Nation Entertainment in May 2018, launching a new chapter in her career as a solo artist.
The agency thanked the singer for her contributions during their partnership, noting that she carried out a number of meaningful activities as a solo performer.
The contract termination comes just months after Park Bom found herself at the center of controversy involving fellow 2NE1 member Sandara Park.
Sandara firmly denied the insinuations, while fans criticized the remarks.
