BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development in the Caraga region (DSWD-13) dispatched two Mobile Storage Units (MSUs) to Davao region to support relief operations for communities affected by the magnitude-7.8 earthquake on Monday.
"The MSUs will serve as a temporary warehouse during emergencies and ensure the organized storage, management, and rapid distribution of relief goods," DSWD-13 said in a statement.
Their deployment will strengthen the region's disaster response capacity and support ongoing humanitarian efforts on the ground.
The magnitude-7.8 tremor jolted most parts of Mindanao past 7 a.m. on Monday, with its epicenter off the coast of General Santos City.
Davao region is among the affected areas, aside from parts of Region 12 where the epicenter was recorded. (PNA)
