Authorities on Monday, June 8 served the arrest warrant against government contractor Curlee Discaya at the Senate where he has been under custody since September 2025.
Discaya is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the Malolos Bulacan City Regional Trial Court in connection with a non-bailable malversation of public funds case linked to an allegedly anomalous flood control project in Bulacan.
His wife, Sarah Discaya, is also currently detained over the same case.
After conducting the booking procedure at the Senate, Curlee Discaya was placed under the custody of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).
He then boarded a police mobile that is headed to Malolos, Bulacan.
Last Friday, the Malolos Bulacan RTC issued a warrant of arrest against Discaya, his wife, and nine others for malversation through falsification of public documents in connection with their alleged involvement in the kickback scheme supposedly from state flood control projects.
The Office of the Ombudsman also filed graft and malversation cases against Discaya and 10 other persons over their alleged involvement in the anomalous flood control project in Calumpit, Bulacan.
Earlier, the Senate allowed Curlee Discaya to undergo operation on his right shoulder.
