Operatives of the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) arrested a 43-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed a transport network vehicle service (TNVS) driver in Barangay 176-A early Sunday, June 7.

Authorities said the victim, a 37-year-old driver, was attacked at around 3 a.m. while transporting the suspect.
Dashcam footage showed the two conversing moments before the shooting.
Investigators revealed that the driver was supposed to drop the suspect off in front of his residence, but the passenger repeatedly refused and insisted that the vehicle be unlocked.
Moments later, the suspect allegedly shot the driver several times before fleeing.
The victim died from gunshot wounds.
Police conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the suspect in Barangay Muzon, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
Authorities also recovered the firearm allegedly used in the crime.
The suspect is now under police custody, while criminal charges are being prepared against him.
Police said the investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the shooting and other circumstances surrounding the case.
