1,120 families in Zamboanga Peninsula affected by Sarangani temblor

ZAMBOANGA CITY – More than 4,400 individuals from 1,120 families in Region 9 or the Zamboanga Peninsula were affected by the massive earthquake Monday in Sarangani.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Field Office 9 is in full response mode, actively monitoring and addressing the needs of affected communities.
No casualties were reported. Most families have returned home after authorities declared their areas safe.
As of Monday afternoon, three evacuation centers remain operational to house evacuees.
The DSWD-9, in collaboration with the City Social Welfare and Development Office, prepared over 1,000 ready-to-eat food packs for distribution to displaced persons in affected areas.
