Ryan Bang confirms split from Paola Huyong, denies cheating allegations
Months after speculation about their breakup first emerged, "It's Showtime" host Ryan Bang has finally confirmed that he and former fiancée Paola Huyong have ended their relationship.
In an appearance on Vice Ganda’s vlog uploaded on Saturday, Ryan addressed the issue publicly for the first time, revealing that he has been single since January.
“Tinry ko na ayusin. Kasi alam ko, n’ung panahon na ‘yun, hindi ko maintindihan. Hindi dapat umabot ng ganito,” Ryan said.
The television host also denied allegations that a third party was involved in their split, stressing that infidelity was never an issue in their relationship.
“Siyempre, sa relationship, meron din akong kasalanan. Pero, I never cheat. Hindi totoo ‘yun. Kahit hindi ngayon, even before, I never cheat. Hindi ako gano’n. Serious din ako sa relationship. But, siyempre, meron din akong kakulangan,” he explained.
While acknowledging his shortcomings, Ryan said differences in culture and perspectives, particularly regarding marriage, may have contributed to the end of their relationship.
“Siyempre, grateful pa rin ako kasi sobrang bait n’ung pamilya. Hanggang ngayon, lalo na ‘yung magulang niya. I was trying to fix it. And, gusto ng pamilya ko din i-fix. But, we found out na magkaiba pala kami ng kultura. Magkaiba pala ang thinking. Lalo na pagdating sa marriage,” he said.
According to Ryan, both he and Paola made efforts to save the relationship. However, there came a point when Paola’s parents advised him to stop trying to fix things.
Reflecting on the breakup, Ryan described it as one of the most difficult experiences of his life.
“In my whole life, ‘yun yung pinaka-dark and hard na time in my life. And ‘yung experience ko na ‘yun, it was pinaka-mabigat sa puso. Ang hirap din sa akin kasi ano-ano iniisip ng ibang tao eh,” he shared.
Ryan and Paola began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement the following year. Rumors of a breakup first surfaced in October 2025 after netizens noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram. While speculation persisted in the months that followed, Ryan had remained silent on the matter until his recent appearance on Vice Ganda’s vlog.
